Elevate Academy is a free, online professional development program designed by survivors of human trafficking, for survivors human trafficking, offering courses such as LifePlan Launch and Professional Development to empower others in their career pursuits. Over a three-month period, students complete two core courses and one elective, engaging in live discussions and networking to build a visionary future with tangible steps.
Each month, Silk City Coffee hosts a "Give Back" for a non-profit organization making a difference in our area. Throughout the month, we highlight information about the organization and feature a specially themed cookie in our case, giving $1 for each cookie purchased back to the organization. We also share their direct donation and volunteer information link for those looking to further support their important work in our community.
Midwest Food Bank New England, established in 2021, operates from a 55,000 sq. ft. facility in Manchester, Connecticut, to alleviate hunger by distributing food at no cost to 155 agencies across the region. Supported by volunteers contributing over 35,000 hours annually, the organization rescues and distributes millions of pounds of food to nourish both body and soul.
